A single-varietal Xarel·lo from three small plots of land. Since 2006 it has been presented as an aged white wine that demonstrates both the style and philosophy of Enric Soler.
Its characteristic elegance comes from its fermentation and ageing in Austrian oak foudres, made by Franz Stockinger and added to the cellar in 2016, 2020 and 2023, as well as in two egg-shaped wine tanks made of Nomblot concrete. The wine ferments and ages for nine months before final blending. This is the wine on which vintage has the greatest impact and, given its complexity, is the most difficult to describe at a tasting.
SISQUETA
A distinguished neighbour of the Vinya dels Taus, this plot dates back to a very similar period. The Sisqueta vineyard forms the heart and character of Improvisació.
DARRERE CASA
This tiny plot has been part of the project from the very beginning. It is home to the 50-year-old Xarel·lo and 15-year-old Malvasia de Sitges vines. The grapes are used in the production of Istiu and Improvisació.
JERÒNIA
The last plot to be incorporated into the project was originally home to vines of the Parellada variety, planted in 1996. Cuttings taken from the Xarel·lo vines growing in the adjoining Vinya dels Taus were grafted onto some of these vines in 2019 (1.06 ha). 400 Malvasia de Sitges vines were planted here in 2020 (0.25 ha), and 1,600 rosé Xarel·lo vines were added in 2024 (0.80 ha). The grapes are used in the production of Improvisació and Istiu.
Fermentation and ageing on the lees for nine months in oak casks and concrete eggs.
It is in the small imperfections that the truth of the landscape, the identity of the grape is hidden, that subtle difference that gives the wine its soul.
